What Do Patients Say About Our Services?

Many of our patients and families have sent wonderful notes of thanks to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund of Rabun County, Georgia. Some have even volunteered to raise money through a variety of fundraisers such as bake sales and garage sales. Others have volunteered at our special events to raise funds which allow us to continue our financial assistance and transportation services for Rabun County cancer patients and families. Giving back has been a wonderful way for some to say "thanks".

What do patients and families say about us? We receive notes and letters from them frequently. Here are just a few examples:

A lady wrote a note to us saying, "I am sending this note to tell you how much I appreciate the help you gave me. You don't know how much it means to me to have people care about me. Thank you and may God bless each and every one of you."

A single mom said, "I hope I can express how much your gift for living expenses has meant to me and my son. Being diagnosed with cancer certainly changes your whole life. Being a full-time single mom and self-employed business owner, the financial strain has been my biggest hurdle. This Fund made my life so much easier. You are providing such a wonderful service to Rabun County and I am sure that Sid Weber is looking down with a huge smile on his face as he sees all the good you are doing."

Another lady wrote, "You gave me such financial relief because of the gas cards you gave me. Being diagnosed with breast cancer meant many trips for treatment. Your volunteers are angels of God. May He bless all that you do. Knowing someone cares means so much. Thank you, Thank you."

A family member wrote, "I want you to know how special your transportation program meant to my mother-in-law who had to receive radiation every day. I know sometimes people don't see how their actions affect others unless someone tells them, so I would like to extend a personal thank you to the drivers. So many little things you did for her made such a difference in allowing her and our family feel better about her getting treatments and allowing our family to stay at work instead of losing so much time away from work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving my mother-in-law such good care."
